N'awlins with 80 ... that's right you are reading this correctly ... 80 Amazing & Talented Authors!! I'm so damn excited that I will probably be more nervous then a cat in a room full of rocking chairs by the time I actually get there. Books, Booze and Tattoos ... OH MY! So much fun and excitement all in one ritzy hotel located on the infamous Bourbon Street! This is my very first trip to New Orleans that I'm hoping to not only have a blast with some good peeps (namely my bestie Tina and my GoodReads bestie Kat best probably known to you as Miss Smitten With Bad Boy Heroes) but experience what is so infamous about the location ... from the Absinthe to the Voodoo and the Jambalaya that falls in between!! For more information about the event itself or the amazing talent that will be present simply click the AAD link found in the above text.

Okay now on to the purpose of this blog ... (besides my uber never-ending excitement)
SO in order to get my self ready for all this upcoming chaos and pandemonium I have decided to hop on the Midnyte Reader AAD Challenge. What this means is the I am going to set myself up for a challenge to read at least 1 series or at minimum 1 book from each author attending that I haven't yet discovered. So cross your fingers and lets get to the damage ...

Here is Challenge ... 53 Books

My GoodReads List

(This shelf contains all the books from the various authors attending the AAD Convention but not all books listed on said shelf will be review. Only the ones list here in this blog.)

Okay folks well thanks it for now. I will keep you posted as I go along. Caution Warning ... List may chance as time passing depending on how my classes go this semester. And speaking of classes I have a Lab assignment which is due tomorrow so I better get crackin' before I fall asleep because I had inventory this morning and I was dragging balls from lack of sleep. Wish me luck.

Exciting Novella News

Ms. Frost has done it again folks!

That's right Frost Fanatics another amazing novella from her Night Huntress Series that introduces us to new characters as well as some of our returning favorites!

I'm happy to say that Devil To Pay, my novella originally published in the Four Dukes and a Devil anthology, is out tomorrow (Aug 23rd) in ebook form for only $1.99.
Description: Blake Turner had it all—until a demon decided to take residence in his soul. Plagued with constant black outs and a trail of dead bodies in his wake, Blake thinks vampire Elise is his best chance at ending the nightmare. It's just too bad he's fallen in love with the gorgeous vamp right before he has to die… Featuring characters from New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress world.

The idea behind Devil To Pay originally came from a dream. Yes, I get lots of ideas – good and bad – from dreams (if only I could call sleeping "research!"). In the dream, I was humming the lyrics to Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, of all things. The song starts with, "Hello…is there anybody in there?" In my dream, as soon as I said those words, from inside me I heard what I knew was a demon's voice reply with, "I am." Scared me immediately awake! Demonic possession isn't a new concept, of course, but the idea of being possessed and yet still in control of yourself part of the time stayed with me. So, months later when my editor asked me if I was interested in writing a "devil" type of story, I thought back to this dream and said yes. My hero, Blake, is possessed, yet he has periods where he is in control. He thinks the only way to stop the demon is to kill himself, but when he attempts to throw himself in front of a train, vampire Elise saves him. Elise is fighting her own internal battle, and in her attempts to find another way to rid Blake of the demon without killing him, the two are drawn to each other.

Familiar characters such as Mencheres, Bones, and Cat also show up in Devil To Pay. For regular Night Huntress readers, the events in this story take place between At Grave's End and Destined for an Early Grave, but it is a stand-alone so you don't need to read those first to understand it. I really loved writing Devil To Pay and if you're inclined to check it out, I hope you enjoy reading it!

Now, back to writing Once Burned. Leila is starting to realize that Vlad might be the scariest man she's ever met, but she still wants to play with fire (har har!).

How do you define the "Best Night Ever?" Does going on a mini shopping spree for a chic new outfit, dinner out with your bestie and seeing your favorite music act live in concert sound like it would do the trick? If so, read on!

Ravenous for more Fever?

Ms. Moning has just confirmed that not only will the next Fever installment consist of a trilogy centered around Dani, Christian, Ryodan and Dancer but a total of 5 more (count includes the trilogy) Fever books are in the works! I am so beyond excited I almost peed my pants when I read the news.

Here is what Ms. Moning released on here facebook page earlier today ...

Because I keep getting this question, I’ve realized I've obviously not answered it to your satisfaction:) I'm going to post here and ask that you all help me in spreading the word around.

I'm currently working on a trilogy that features Dani, Christian MacKeltar, Ryodan, and the mysterious 'Dancer,' set primarily in Fever-Dublin. Each installment in the trilogy is a stand-alone mystery, however there are larger plot arcs unfolding in the background. Where Mac was introspective and her story could feel somewhat esoteric, Dani is down and dirty in the streets. Lots of details, lots of action. There’s a different feel to the two series, totally different vantage points. I’m having a blast writing it.

For those of you who have been worrying—the trilogy is not YA. If I had to categorize it, I would say it straddles the line between YA and adult uneasily. I don’t pull any punches. It may be controversial in some ways. But whose teen years weren’t? LOL! Many of the questions I left unanswered in the FEVER series are addressed in this new series.

Exciting news: I’ve agreed to write two more books after that. Once the new trilogy is complete, I’m returning to the core story begun in the FEVER series, and will resume writing about Mac, Barrons, V’lane, Cruce, the Unseelie king, the concubine, the Song of Making.

All in all, there are five more books coming about the Fever World!

Because I know you guys, I know this is going to make some of you as nervous as it makes you excited. Trust me. I’m making no compromises with the characters or the story. It’s all unfolding exactly as it should, true to itself-which means, it’s a sometimes rocky road. Dark times ahead, guys. But I write it all with genuine love for the characters, the world, and you the reader.

As a final note, quit scaring Dreamworks with your demands for NC-17, LMAO. I don’t write NC-17. You have NC-17 imaginations! Sometimes I think you guys should be telling me stories!

My only question for you Fever Fans and Moning Maniacs is how freakin' excited are you!!

First movie deals and now more books! Life is only getting sweeter!

Those Dark Hunters Just Keep Coming …

According to The Variety ...
Amber Entertainment has been very busy.

Amber pacts with paranormal novelist Kenyon

Shingle will develop Films, TV and Webisodes

Amber Entertainment has signed a partnership with prolific paranormal novelist Sherrilyn Kenyon to develop and produce films, television and webisodes based on her books.

First project to be developed is "Chronicles of Nick," based on the young adult series. In the first book, "Infinity," 14-year-old Nick Gautier discovers that the football team has been turned into zombies, sets out to stop the attacks and learns he has a key role in an unseen world.

Kenyon will serve as producer alongside Ileen Maisel, founding partner of Amber.

"As a longtime fan of the films that both Ileen Maisel and Mark Ordesky have produced, I couldn't be more excited," Kenyon said. "I look forward to working with them to make my characters flesh-and-blood people."

Kenyon has penned more than 60 novels. Her "Dark-Hunter" vampire series has sold more than 22 million copies and been adapted into a manga published by St. Martins, while her Lords of Avalon novels have been adapted by Marvel comics.

The Kenyon pact is part of the strategy Amber has pursued of acquiring and converting recognizable properties, such as novels by Gerald Browne, Judy Blume and Jackie Collins into films, with the authors becoming partners in the productions. Amber, founded three years ago, is headed by former New Line execs Maisel, Ordesky and Jane Fleming along with Lawrence Elman.

Amber's Maisel and Elman are teamed with Julian Fellowes ("Gosford Park") to produce Carlo Carlei's "Romeo and Juliet" with Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld. It's in post on "Possession" with Haxan with "Blair Witch" director Eduardo Sanchez helming.

Kenyon was repped in the deal by Erica Spellman Silverman at Trident Media Group on behalf of Robert Gottlieb.
