Exciting Novella News

Ms. Frost has done it again folks!

That's right Frost Fanatics another amazing novella from her Night Huntress Series that introduces us to new characters as well as some of our returning favorites!

I'm happy to say that Devil To Pay, my novella originally published in the Four Dukes and a Devil anthology, is out tomorrow (Aug 23rd) in ebook form for only $1.99.
Description: Blake Turner had it all—until a demon decided to take residence in his soul. Plagued with constant black outs and a trail of dead bodies in his wake, Blake thinks vampire Elise is his best chance at ending the nightmare. It's just too bad he's fallen in love with the gorgeous vamp right before he has to die… Featuring characters from New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress world.

The idea behind Devil To Pay originally came from a dream. Yes, I get lots of ideas – good and bad – from dreams (if only I could call sleeping "research!"). In the dream, I was humming the lyrics to Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, of all things. The song starts with, "Hello…is there anybody in there?" In my dream, as soon as I said those words, from inside me I heard what I knew was a demon's voice reply with, "I am." Scared me immediately awake! Demonic possession isn't a new concept, of course, but the idea of being possessed and yet still in control of yourself part of the time stayed with me. So, months later when my editor asked me if I was interested in writing a "devil" type of story, I thought back to this dream and said yes. My hero, Blake, is possessed, yet he has periods where he is in control. He thinks the only way to stop the demon is to kill himself, but when he attempts to throw himself in front of a train, vampire Elise saves him. Elise is fighting her own internal battle, and in her attempts to find another way to rid Blake of the demon without killing him, the two are drawn to each other.

Familiar characters such as Mencheres, Bones, and Cat also show up in Devil To Pay. For regular Night Huntress readers, the events in this story take place between At Grave's End and Destined for an Early Grave, but it is a stand-alone so you don't need to read those first to understand it. I really loved writing Devil To Pay and if you're inclined to check it out, I hope you enjoy reading it!

Now, back to writing Once Burned. Leila is starting to realize that Vlad might be the scariest man she's ever met, but she still wants to play with fire (har har!).

Ravenous for more Fever?

Ms. Moning has just confirmed that not only will the next Fever installment consist of a trilogy centered around Dani, Christian, Ryodan and Dancer but a total of 5 more (count includes the trilogy) Fever books are in the works! I am so beyond excited I almost peed my pants when I read the news.

Here is what Ms. Moning released on here facebook page earlier today ...

Because I keep getting this question, I’ve realized I've obviously not answered it to your satisfaction:) I'm going to post here and ask that you all help me in spreading the word around.

I'm currently working on a trilogy that features Dani, Christian MacKeltar, Ryodan, and the mysterious 'Dancer,' set primarily in Fever-Dublin. Each installment in the trilogy is a stand-alone mystery, however there are larger plot arcs unfolding in the background. Where Mac was introspective and her story could feel somewhat esoteric, Dani is down and dirty in the streets. Lots of details, lots of action. There’s a different feel to the two series, totally different vantage points. I’m having a blast writing it.

For those of you who have been worrying—the trilogy is not YA. If I had to categorize it, I would say it straddles the line between YA and adult uneasily. I don’t pull any punches. It may be controversial in some ways. But whose teen years weren’t? LOL! Many of the questions I left unanswered in the FEVER series are addressed in this new series.

Exciting news: I’ve agreed to write two more books after that. Once the new trilogy is complete, I’m returning to the core story begun in the FEVER series, and will resume writing about Mac, Barrons, V’lane, Cruce, the Unseelie king, the concubine, the Song of Making.

All in all, there are five more books coming about the Fever World!

Because I know you guys, I know this is going to make some of you as nervous as it makes you excited. Trust me. I’m making no compromises with the characters or the story. It’s all unfolding exactly as it should, true to itself-which means, it’s a sometimes rocky road. Dark times ahead, guys. But I write it all with genuine love for the characters, the world, and you the reader.

As a final note, quit scaring Dreamworks with your demands for NC-17, LMAO. I don’t write NC-17. You have NC-17 imaginations! Sometimes I think you guys should be telling me stories!

My only question for you Fever Fans and Moning Maniacs is how freakin' excited are you!!

First movie deals and now more books! Life is only getting sweeter!

Those Dark Hunters Just Keep Coming …

According to The Variety ...
Amber Entertainment has been very busy.

Amber pacts with paranormal novelist Kenyon

Shingle will develop Films, TV and Webisodes

Amber Entertainment has signed a partnership with prolific paranormal novelist Sherrilyn Kenyon to develop and produce films, television and webisodes based on her books.

First project to be developed is "Chronicles of Nick," based on the young adult series. In the first book, "Infinity," 14-year-old Nick Gautier discovers that the football team has been turned into zombies, sets out to stop the attacks and learns he has a key role in an unseen world.

Kenyon will serve as producer alongside Ileen Maisel, founding partner of Amber.

"As a longtime fan of the films that both Ileen Maisel and Mark Ordesky have produced, I couldn't be more excited," Kenyon said. "I look forward to working with them to make my characters flesh-and-blood people."

Kenyon has penned more than 60 novels. Her "Dark-Hunter" vampire series has sold more than 22 million copies and been adapted into a manga published by St. Martins, while her Lords of Avalon novels have been adapted by Marvel comics.

The Kenyon pact is part of the strategy Amber has pursued of acquiring and converting recognizable properties, such as novels by Gerald Browne, Judy Blume and Jackie Collins into films, with the authors becoming partners in the productions. Amber, founded three years ago, is headed by former New Line execs Maisel, Ordesky and Jane Fleming along with Lawrence Elman.

Amber's Maisel and Elman are teamed with Julian Fellowes ("Gosford Park") to produce Carlo Carlei's "Romeo and Juliet" with Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld. It's in post on "Possession" with Haxan with "Blair Witch" director Eduardo Sanchez helming.

Kenyon was repped in the deal by Erica Spellman Silverman at Trident Media Group on behalf of Robert Gottlieb.

Fever Franchise for DreamWorks?

According to Slashfilm they feel DreamWorks is hoping to make the upcoming Fever film a cult franchise like Twilight and Harry Potter ...

The film franchise is like the printing press of the film industry. Once it was discovered, it became a tool that removed a certain typed of creativity from much of the development process. Take a previously conceived a story (or preferably, stories) and remake it for a built in audience of fans. A minimal amount of work reaps rich rewards. And while some franchises have taken this adaptation process seriously (such as Harry Potter) others have made billions with a lower level of quality (Twilight, for example.) Either way is fine with executives, just as long as there are sequels already lined up.

So there’s always a battle in Hollywood over the next big franchise. Maybe it’s The Hunger Games for Lionsgate. Maybe it’s the Marvel superheroes for Disney. Or maybe it’s Fever, a franchise that DreamWorks has just acquired based on five books by Karen Marie Moning, which sounds like a mix of Pan’s Labyrinth, Lord of the Rings and Twilight.

The Variety broke the news of DreamWorks acquiring this series, which was previously at 20th Century Fox.

The Fever franchise by Karen Marie Moning consists of five books: Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever, Dreamfever and Shadowfever. The first book, Darkfever, tells the story of a young lady named MacKayla Lane whose sister is murdered and, when she head to Ireland to investigate, realizes she has the power to enter a fantasy world that is beginning to rise up against the humans. That world features fairies, vampires, ancient good and evil and of course a possible love interest for MacKayla.

All of the books are New York Times Best Sellers and though I hadn’t heard of them until today, it sounds like an intriguing beginning to a story. Maybe the Fever books will hit it big. Or maybe they’ll be one and done.

So my question for you is what do you think?

More Juicy Dets About The Upcoming Fever Movies ...

According to Associated Content here are some more interesting details behind the movie ie. choice actors!

If you've never heard of Karen Marie Moning you're missing out. Moning is a New York Times best selling author who writes paranormal romance, and now urban fantasy. Though the two sets of stories are different in feel, their worlds are connected. Her romance novels consist of time traveling, druids, faeries, sexy highlanders and Celtic mythology. Her current Fever series contains many of the same elements as her Highlander novels, but with a darker, edgier feel to it. It's also written in first-person. The Fever series follows the story of MacKayla Lane, a young American woman from Georgia who journeys to Ireland seeking revenge for her sister's death. While in Ireland Mac discovers a whole new world that she never knew existed; a dangerous world filled with unimaginable creatures, people who need her help, men who want her, and to make matters worst, she discovers she's not who she thought she was.

With such a complex and well written story as Moning's Fever series, it's no wonder that the film rights have been optioned by Twentieth Century Fox/New Regency. Unfortunately for the fans, Moning has no say in the production or casting for the movie(s). At present there has been no mentioning of even a script, but according to The New York Times, a studio executive by the name of Anna Kokourina has been listed. Kokourina is responsible for the department of Twentieth Century Fox that makes movies outside of the US. What does that mean for the potential Fever movie? The probability of filming on location in Ireland.

In recent months there have been a lot of buzz about the Fever movie on Moning's forum. There have even been actors who have expressed interest in the movie. Perhaps it's because the fifth and final installment of the Fever series, Shadowfever, is set to be released on December 28, 2010, or perhaps her devoted fans, the "Moning Maniacs" have been tirelessly spreading the word, or in this case the "fever". There are several threads on Moning's forum that are dedicated to "casting" for the movie, but it's all in good fun. Some popular fan choices for the role of Mac has been Kristen Bell of When in Rome, and Heroes, Hayden Panettiere. For the role of the enigmatic Jericho Barrons, it's been everyone from Gerard Butler (The Ugly Truth), Julian McMahon(Nip/Tuck) to Eric Etebari, who many might recognize as Ian Nottingham from the TV series Witchblade.

In late 2009 a "maniac" had contacted Etebari on Facebook informing him about the Fever series, a potential movie, and that he was the fan favorite to play the role of Barrons. Apparently Etebari's interest was peeked because he promptly got in touch with the author, picked up a copy of Darkfever, the first book in the series, and have since been adopted by the "maniac" clan. He's even done a personal interview with Moning, participated in a shout out video, and provided a photo for the "Official Jericho Barrons" Facebook page.

Another actor who has expressed interest in the potential Fever movie is English actor Charlie Bewley, who's most recently known for his role in New Moon as a vampire named Demetri. It all stared with a tweet, how that tweet came to be is still a mystery. Supposedly a "maniac", not the same one who contacted Etebari, had met Bewley at a convention and mentioned the Fever movie to him, and how she thought he would be perfect for the part of V'lane. Bewley then tweeted, "Anyone familiar with "The Fever Series" - a character called U'lane? Please FURNISH me with some info." By "U'lane" he obviously meant V'lane, the Seelie fae prince, who's a major character in the series.

More recently, actor and filmaker Chris Ivan Cevic(Henry John and the Little Bug), has expressed interest in playing the series main villain, Darroc. He was also contacted by a "maniac." Cevic has picked up a copy of Darkfever, as well as one of the Highlander novel as suggested by another "maniac", to get a full grasp on the character. He's even dropped by the forum to say 'hi' to the "maniacs," and thanked them for their support.

Will all this effort by Moning's fan be enough to get the ball rolling on a Fever movie? Only time will tell. As much as the "maniacs" have managed to accomplish so far in terms of building up a buzz about the movie, it wouldn't be a surprise if a script gets written not too long after the release of Shadowfever.

AGAIN I SAY ... FUCKIN' SWEET!

DreamWorks bags Moning's Fever Series ...

According to The Varity I present this exciting news!

With "Harry Potter" finished, "The Twilight Saga" coming to a close and "The Hunger Games" getting steady buzz, DreamWorks is looking to launch its own fantasy franchise, as the studio has acquired feature film rights to all five books in Karen Marie Moning's bestselling "Darkfever" series.

Project was previously set up at 20th Century Fox under its New Regency banner.

Series follows MacKayla Lane, an ordinary young woman from Georgia who travels to Ireland to track down her sister's killer. While overseas, she discovers an extraordinary world filled with ancient secrets and tough-to-kill creatures. Protag, who has special abilities, is tasked with finding the Sinsar Dubh, a powerful yet elusive book that can help her save both the fantasy realm and the mortal world.

No exec has been assigned to oversee the project yet, though it is being envisioned as a potential live-action fantasy franchise.

The fifth and final installment of the adult-themed series, "Shadowfever," was released last December.

DreamWorks has a long-term deal with Disney to market and release its live-action pics.

HOW FUCKIN' SWEET IS THAT?!?!
I AM BEYOND EXCITED!

Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning

Darkfever (Fever Series #1)
Start Date: 6.11.11
Finish Date: 6.13.11

Brief Summary ...
MacKayla Lane’s life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she’s your perfectly ordinary twenty-first-century woman.

Or so she thinks ... until something extraordinary happens.

When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death–a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone–Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed–a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae ...

As Mac delves deeper into the mystery of her sister’s death, her every move is shadowed by the dark, mysterious Jericho, a man with no past and only mockery for a future. As she begins to close in on the truth, the ruthless V’lane–an alpha Fae who makes sex an addiction for human women–closes in on her. And as the boundary between worlds begins to crumble, Mac’s true mission becomes clear: find the elusive Sinsar Dubh before someone else claims the all-powerful Dark Book–because whoever gets to it first holds nothing less than complete control of the very fabric of both worlds in their hands ...

My Review ...

This book in 8 words or less ...
WONDEROUS MYSTICISM WITH A SPLASH OF DELICIOUS TENSION!

Where to begin ...
Let’s see ... I am probably the last person on the planet and quite possibly the next two or three planets down the line to read this series ... my fall from the turnip truck occurred very late. I was left in the wind with no chance of redeeming myself. But as you can see I have recovered from my unfortunate accident and through my love of Moning’s Highlander Series I stormed through the fog to continue my journey. From the very begining I was deeply pulled into her world of hunky Keltar highlanders and mystical Tuatha Dé (Fae). Enjoyment from the Highlander series caused me to continue on with Moning’s new (well … new for me) Fever series that continues the tale of the Tuatha Dé (from a more darkly view of both the Seelie and Unseelie) through the eyes of the book’s heroine MacKayla Lane.

At first I was a bit leery after reading the first few chapters because I felt that I wasn’t getting that pull that occurs. You know the pull that sucks you in and absorbs the world around you leaving you focused on nothing but the fantasy created in the magical pages of whatever great series you just happen to have fallen into. That my friends, just wasn’t happening for me … at first. My leeriness and disappointment was soon put to an end after the introduction of 3 characters ... the mysterious Jericho Barrons, the would be vampire Mallucé and of course the irresistible Seelie Prince V’lane.

The Characters ...

MacKayla Lane (Mac/Ms. Lane) – Unlike most people I like Mac. I feel she is a very interesting character once one looks past the shallowness and immaturity of which she isn’t and truly sees her for the strong and courageous woman that she is. Only being 22 years old and realizing that your world is nothing like you thought it was and having that thrown in your face after losing your older sister who was not just your sister but your best friend can be truly earth-shattering not to mention very confusing. She reminds me of Buffy in a way … having no clue as to who you can trust or why you were the chosen one to begin with but having to save the world from evil baddies while trying to save yourself and bring your murdered sister justice … it’s enough to make you want to crawl in a hole and hide hoping you can go back to the way life used to be ... fun and care free ... but in the end you just can’t. I commend Mac for her strength and bravery for avenging those she has lost while protecting the people she loves.

Jericho Barrons – Although at first I must admit that I thought you were an arrogant tool who was manipulative and acerbically sardonic. However, those feelings changed after I observed your character more thoroughly. From saving Mac’s life on several occasions to providing her with shelter while trying to not only help her adjust but assist her in better understanding what her destiny as a sidhe-seer is all about. So needlesstosay it is because of you that I continued to read this book. You are one mysterious character that is scholarly cultured, dangerously intelligent, insanely wealthy with exquisite taste and powerfully good-looking with a hard body that emanates a tingling constant charge that is undeniably delectable. With a hidden agenda and nature that has not only kept me intrigued but truly enthralled. You are the stuff that make men desirable heroes and quite possibly utterly deranged psychotic murderers. But let’s not forget to mention that the sexual tension between you and ‘Ms. Lane’ is beyond delish!

V’lane – Can be summed up in eight words or less … An insatiable Fae prince of lethally erotic tastes! Just like most people don’t like Mac most people think a death-by-sex fae is ridiculous but luckily for me I’m not most people. I think the idea of a death-by-sex fae is not only unique but utterly delicious. The first two scenes where Mac interacts with V’lane had me laughing my ass off and only made me look forward to more scenes with V’lane and Mac together. Granted I think V’lane may have his own secret agenda regarding Mac just like Barrons but maybe he just might be telling Mac the truth after all. Who knows for sure? No one can say but at the same time I also think he is hoping to gain her affection as well because he is not used to being ignored sexually and he finds the challenge interesting.

Final Thought ...

Once this book was finished two thoughts became absolutely obvious in my sometimes overly lust-filled mind ...

First ... I need to rob a bank or one of those nice red armored trunks so that I could dash over to the nearest airport and jump my happy ass on the next flight leaving for Ireland. And secondly I want to make a delicious sandwich with Jericho Barrons and V'lane preferably with me in the middle. Oddly I am have flashbacks to J.R. Ward’s motel scene in Lover Unleashed. LoL!

But for real this series offers everything. A crime mystery, a fantasy world steeped in history and folklore, and the kind of men that you would loath in real life but are the most erotic beings imaginable in literature. I can't believe I every questioned this book and waited so long to being this series.

Break a Headbroad and the Rumors Fly ...

By now I am sure you have all seen the trailer for Breaking Dawn ... well apparently many of you have not heard the lastest rumour - that the scene with Edward Cullen breaking the head board was done by a stunt double.... a body double... a... NOT ROBERT PATTINSON!?! This is just too laughable in my opinion.

But don't fret ... to demystify this rumor Gossip Cop looked into the story and was told by a production source that it was 100 percent Pattinson in the sex scene with Kristen Stewart. Additionally, a rep for Summit tells us, “A body double was NOT used.”

In my opinion on how this started is from his reputation for having the lack of Jacob muscles had all the Twi-Crazies questioning where these wonderfully strong, gorgeously toned, delish muscular arms appeared from ... Meh-Ow! Looks like under all those grubby grungy flannels is some tasty man meat after all.

My Review

This book in 8 words or less
TENDER AND ARTISTICALLY DELECTABLE!

To recall I remind you that I stumbled upon this series on a whim and accidentally read Inside Out. I didn’t realize until after I had finished reading the aforementioned book that it happened to be the third book of The Brown Siblings series by Lauren Dane. Of course this discovery just happened to clarify some of my confusion. So obviously I had to get the rest of this thrilling and titillating series just so that I could discover and experience these characters from the very beginning. Laid Bare is the beginning of the deliciously written story centered on Erin Brown and the introduction to the Brown siblings and their close-net circle of friends. Continuing on with the saga we are led to Erin’s sexy and emotionally intense brother Brody, the oldest of the Brown siblings. Coming Undone does not disappoint. It proudly continues that fabulous blend of sizzling erotica and sweetly hot romance that attacked and devoured of imaginations in Laid Bare. Coming Undone is a book that I found impossible to put down, which is why I’m awarding it a perfect five star rating and has definitely earn a spot on my keeper shelf of all time favorites, and perhaps someday yours too.

The Characters

Brody Brown – This man is the caretaker for everyone at least for those he loves whether they are family or friend, raising his siblings from the tender age of 17 giving up his hopes and dreams of a promising art career to become the parents that they lost in an accident. You may want to take pity on him or even feel that his live is without intrinsic worth but that is where you would be mistaken because the complete opposite has happened for our hero. Not only has he raised two very successful people, namely his younger sister Erin and their younger brother Adrian, for whom he could not be prouder he also isn’t doing half bad himself. Has a successful and prosperous tattoo artist with a nice home in a friendly community while being surrounded by friends and family life for him isn’t too shabby. All Brody needs is some casual lovin’ ever now and then and life would be perfect. However, fate apparently feels differently for our hero thus enters Elise, her daughter Rennie and an unfortunate car accident.

Elise Sorenson – The once infamous ballerina who is trying to escape a horrid past while maintaining the safety of her young daughter Rennie finds herself moving far away in hopes of starting over and establishing a new life that is not only stable but protected from the horrors of their past. Settling in a great neighborhood in Seattle she finds herself living a normal life with her daughter. What more could she ask for? Well, the last thing she wants is a relationship especially with the very sexy, tattooed, motorcycle riding bad boy neighbor from across the street who personifies what fantasies are made of. In fact, while Brody lives inside Elise’s fantasies on a nightly basis and man are they good. Still, Elise just wants a man without complications and what Brody offers fills the bill for Elise. A companionship with no strings attached instead of a relationship with love and forever which works for both of them until Elise’s past comes back to haunt her. Now while Elise is trying to maintain her sanity and her focus on Rennie she doesn’t want to admit that she just might need Brody for more than just a good time. What Elise doesn’t expect is to love him and adore the way he treats her and her daughter. Apparently it seems that healing and love can come in a big inked up package that may just in fact be what she truly desires.

Final Thoughts
Lauren Dane captures every feeling of each character and every situation and brings it to life. This book came alive for me. I found myself smiling when reading certain parts and annoyed at others because the characters and the situations affected me that much. Mainly it was Rennie. She is such a humorously witty and charmingly sweet little girl that pulls at your heart strings. The interaction between the three characters is heartwarming and gratifying.

My Review

This book in 8 words or less
TOUCHING AND IMAGINATIVELY DELICIOUS!

To be honest I accidently stumbled upon this seris and read the third book first before realizing that it was a series. Yeah I can be a little special like that sometimes. But enough about me … let’s get to the goods shall we. In a brief word this book is beyond AMAZING! Every once in a while a book comes along that is so spellbinding that it moves you in mesmerizing surprises in all the best ways imaginable. The three main characters of this rhythmically hypnotic saga are all deliciously charismatic and comprehensively practical. They are skillfully woven into a roller coaster tale that will have your heart wrenching with tears one moment, fluttering with arousal the next and laughing with merriment at every victorious stride along the way. I was completely blown away by the brilliant representation of this emotionally stimulating and profoundly erotic tale of second changes and liberation. What can I say … I love this book! With ménage and some male-on-male action what’s not to love. Mee-ow!

The Characters

Erin Brown – She is a memorable heroine who takes no shit and knows what she desires whether on stage or in the bedroom. Even if some may view her appearance is a bit outlandish with her tattoos and dreadlocks that over time are traded in for long pink striped tresses I have to say that is what makes up some of her charisma and allure. Until disaster strikes and her genuinely free spirit is left traumatized and brokenhearted. The things she overcame just proved what a strong woman she was. Her tragedy broke my heart and left me in tears but at the same time I had to give her mad props to see the strength and determination that she possesses.

Todd Keegan – Starts out as a straight laced, clean cut, Toby Keith lovin’ cop who is so devastatingly attracted to Miss Wild Child Erin who just so happens to bring out his darker and kinkier side which naturally scares the shit out of him thus causing him to beat feet with his tail between his legs only to end up ten years later leaving Boston to return to Seattle after being shot, comatose and divorced. Only then to have fate step in and bring the once wild Erin back into his life where he so openly admits to embrace the kinks that caused him run and initially break her heart.

Ben Copeland – Todd’s sexy lifelong best friend and new business partner enters not only Erin’s life but her and Todd’s bedroom as well. He adds the whole new and improved feature to the vibrant dynamics of Erin and Todd’s relationship which in turn allows their friendship to develop into something deeper and more intimate will their feelings center around their love for Erin.

Final Thoughts
Ben, Erin, and Todd find themselves becoming a threesome to where scenes heat up and progress with the perfect combination of alpha male exploration and sensitivity based on friendship, longing, trust, respect, understanding, and of course, love with Erin at the heart and center, and although they might have difficulty clearly defining what they have, … they can’t deny what they have found in each other. While there are some delicious sexual facets of being in a ménage the emotional makeup of the trio’s relationship takes precedence as the prime focus of this brilliantly written story. With that being said I leave myself wondering where my Ben and Todd are because hello … my name is Erin too.

PRAYERS FOR A SNOWLESS WINTER LOST ...

OKAY I JUST GOT HOME FROM MY 2ND JOB ... OF COURSE WHEN I WENT TO WORK THERE WAS NO SNOW AND NATURALLY IT WAS A HOT MESS WHEN I GOT OFF AT 9:30. I THOUGHT I WOULD BE IN THE CLEAR IF I DROVE WITH MY TRUCK IN 3RD GEAR AND WENT NO FASTER THEN 30 MPH ... BOY WAS I WRONG! ABOUT 8 MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE I STARTED TO SPIN OUT AND YOU KNOW THAT SAYING 'LIFE FLASHED BEFORE YOUR EYES' ... WELL I CAN'T CLAIM THAT THAT HAPPENED BUT MY HEART WAS DEFINITELY IN MY THROAT AND BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH. I POPPED THE CURB WENT UP ON A HILL AND PRAYED TO THE GODDESS ABOVE THE LaFayette (MY TRUCK) WOULDN'T CRASH INTO THE TELEPHONE POLE. LUCKILY THE GREAT GODDESS ABOVE OR MAYBE EVEN MY MAMA WAS WATCHING OVER ME CAUSE BY THE TIME I GOT HOME AND CHECKED OUT LaFayette ALL I FOUND WAS A BUSTED TAIL LIGHT. SO WOULD ANYONE HAPPEN TO KNOW HOW MUCH A TAIL LIGHT COST? OH AND TO TOP OFF MY LOVELY DAY ... I THINK I'M GETTING SICK ... AGAIN! :o(

BROTHERHOOD of the BLACK DAGGER SERIES by J.R WARD*

Series Rating: AAA++++++++++++++++++++++
Personal Opinion: I was recommend by my friends Amber and Prisilla to read this series and I could not thank them more for drawing my attention to this series. This is far the best adult romance series I've read. J.R. Ward is the most creative author I've had the pleasure of reading. The Black Dagger Brotherhood is both sexual and humorous. Her writing is sexy and the love scenes are detailed to a t and are freaking amazing and sometimes very funny which makes it better. Over all this series is both witty and sexual. A must read and the owner of the #1 spot of my ALL - TIME FAVORITES list.

LORDS of the UNDERWORLD by GENA SHOWALTER*

Personal Opinion: If you are a fan of J.R. Ward well let me introduce you to Mrs. Gena and her wickedly delicious Lords! Like the BDB the LOFU is written with both sexualness and humor. Her writing is very witty and the love scenes are quite delectable if I do say so myself. Seth: "I hope I redeemed myself with the whole dancing-sex comparison.”
Georgina: “I suppose there were a couple of notable similarities,” I observed, holding a straight face.
Seth: “A couple? What about attention to detail, heavy exertion, lots of sweat, and single-minded determinedness to get the job done and done well?”
Georgina: “Mostly I was thinking you just don’t talk during sex.” Mean perhaps, but I couldn’t resist.
Seth: “Well, my mouth has better things to do.”
Georgina: I swallowed, my own mouth dry. “Are we still talking about dancing?"
- Georgina Kincaid & Seth Mortensen in Succubus Blues

VAMPIRE ACADEMY by RICHELLE MEAD^

Series Rating: AAA++++++++++++++
Series Decription: A story of two best friends who are bound to one another for all eternity. One a Guardian and one a Morio. Their friendship and sanity are tested through this series as love and tragedy are thrown into their paths through the years at their school, St. Vladimir Academy. The only people that can help them in the end are themselves or so they think.

Personal Opinion: This story brings you into the fight between the Guardian’s and the Stirgoi. One half vampire and the other a full on evil vampire. Both have their own needs, one is to protect the Royal Morio and the other a journey to destroy all Morio or to have them join them on their quest. But in the end the love story between trainer and student is what gets you hooked into this story. I promise you if you read this series you will not set the book down disappointed and the owner of the #3 spot of my ALL - TIME FAVORITES list.

The books in this series are listed in order ...
Vampire Academy
Frostbite
Shadow Kiss
Blood Promise
Spirit Bound
Last Sacrifice

Adrian: "He didn't give you that black eye, did he?"
Rose: "He wouldn't be alive if he did. I got it during … practice. I mean, I'm training to be a guardian. Our classes are always rough."
Adrian: "That's pretty hot,"
Rose: "Punching me in the eye?"
Adrian: "Well, no. Of course not. I meant that the idea of getting rough with you is hot. I'm a big fan of full-contact sports."
- Adrian Ivashkov & Rose Hathaway in Frostbite
